About Us
I believe that everyone has their story behind the scenes. The journey that brings them to where they are today. This is a bit about mine.
In The Beginning…Earlier in my working life, I was in a corporate environment. When everything came to a head, I was working in admin.
But then I became inspired to work in training and development. I took time out from my working life to complete a Masters degree.
During that period of time, I did temp work. But I stayed in roles that made me uncomfortable – working as an executive assistant, in HR, in admin. Pushing myself like this led to burnout.
Burnout for me was not just a little bit of fatigue and job apathy. I was suffering financial strains, and felt an overwhelming sense of despair. Something had to give.
So I left the workforce. I undertook medical care to manage my own health and well-being. And then, feeling aimless in my life – I went to a career expo.
A Turning PointLittle did I know, that career expo was the start of a new life. I spoke to someone about aromatherapy at THA. Because of my career history briefly as a pharmacy assistant, I had always been fascinated by complementary options.
So I signed up for a diploma of aromatherapy. I was doing it purely for myself – I had no plans to start consulting.
But once I started working in the student clinic, it changed me. I truly enjoyed helping others to heal, and care for themselves.
So when graduation time came around, I decided I would open my own clinic. I would focus on supporting others, but also educating about aromatherapy safety.
Where I Am TodayToday, I offer services in clinical aromatherapy and Reiki from my own clinic located in Surrey Hills.
I pride myself on providing a safe space for one-on-one interactive consults. This allows us to truly connect in a way that Skype and phone cannot offer. After all, aromatherapy is most powerful in real time!
My approach is a combination of clinical and care. I look at the unique chemistry of you. But I also care, and want to share knowledge with you, so you can be the best version of you.
I come in with an understanding of the medical world, and where they come from. That's why I work with your current care plan to support you. There is nothing wrong with using medication and complementary support like aromatherapy. The important thing is that you stay safe, and work with your team to optimise well-being.
My journey is on-going. I continue to work on personal development, and study more, so that I can help others. The more tools I can gather, the more I can support clients.
